Sales and Events Manager – The Victoria Stakes, Muswell Hill

We are looking for a Sales and Events Manager for our site in Muswell Hill – The Victoria Stakes – part of Mosaic Pub and Dining.
The role will include the Sales & Events Manager aspect for Victoria Stakes as well as responsibility for reactive bookings at it’s sister site – The Clerkenwell Tavern.
The ideal candidate should be passionate, creative, organised and should be motivated to help manage the increasing number of weddings and events in our ever-growing businesses.
Wedding and Events at Victoria Stakes – Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Managing and responding to incoming customer enquiries
- In charge of reactive sales and organisation
- Stay in constant communication with the organisers / wedding couple throughout the entire booking process
- Ensure a smooth running of the wedding / event and communicate effectively with the BOH and FOH team
- Adopt a hands-on approach during the weddings and assist in the execution of the event
- Ownership of inbound sales and booking system, maximising sales opportunities
Sales & Marketing at Victoria Stakes – Responsibilities & Duties:
- Identify new business opportunities including new markets, clients, partnerships, products or services
- Pro-actively drive new and existing relationships with businesses in the area through available sales tools and build a database of key bookers
- Manage and optimise third parties and work closely with event / wedding agencies
- Drive marketing and sales strategies in line with the site / personal targets
- Work alongside the Marketing Manager on planning new marketing initiatives to support the venue KPI’s
- Maximise the sites online presence through social media, website SEO, relevant third parties and Google profile
- Work to pre-determined pre-booked sales targets as set by the business
- Reporting to the Operations Manager and CEO, working alongside the General Managers
Reactive Sales at The Clerkenwell Tavern – Responsibilities & Duties:
- Ownership of all incoming reactive bookings via third parties / emails / Collins (booking system)
- Managing and responding to incoming customer enquiries
- Regular up-keep of all third parties and google platform
- Ensuring smooth and regular communication with the management team on site
Skills and Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role for at least 2 years is preferred
- Highly organised with excellent communication skills
- Previous Experience with Designmynight / Collins would be preferred but not essential
- Strong sales skills
- Ability to develop and implement marketing, sales and promotional strategies
- Capable of prioritising own workload and self-motivated
- Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with a wide range of clientele and colleagues
- Ability to drive the team around you
- High level of professional presentation with a friendly and welcoming personality

Whilst wedding’s are the primary focus at the Victoria Stakes, the role will also include entail the organising and running of other special events whilst being in charge of the reactive bookings at the Clerkenwell Tavern.
The role will be Monday to Sunday and will require flexibility regarding working hours.
In return, the successful candidate can expect a large level of autonomy within their work whilst working alongside the management teams on site.
